Corfu Beaches: The island of Corfu has some of the most beautiful
beaches in Greece
GEORGIOS Agios Georgios is a beach situated approximately 30 km south of the island’s capital. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island and one of the only that has not a village in proximity. It is a 5 km large beach that only recently started developing as a resort, and that is surrounded by green hills.
The sandy beach of Agios Stefanos is situated 35 km northwest of the island’s capital, near the settlement of the same name.
The beach is considered as one of the best and safest beaches of the island.
Umbrellas and sun beds are available as well as water sports facilities. The beach also proposes some tavernas.
Agios Gordis is considered as one of the most popular beach areas in Corfu. Agios Gordis offers impressive rock formations and a long sandy beach. The beach gets really crowded mostly because the area hosts the popular Pink Palace Hotel which attracts many American and Canadians students. The beach offers sun beds and umbrellas rentals as well as water sports facilities.
The beach of Arrilas is situated approximately 35 km from the island’s capital.
It is a two km long sandy beach situated between two small peninsulas that protect it from the wind.
The beach of Barbati is situated approximately 20 km north of the island’s capital.
Ermones is a popular beach resort located in the west coast of the island of Corfu. It is a long sandy beach surrounded by tree-covered hills.

Miriotissa is one of the most popular sandy beaches of the island
of Corfu and attracts thousands of visitors every summer.
It is an unofficial nudist beach. The beach was described by Lawrance
Durrell as "the loviest beach in the world".
It is surrounded by dramatic trees-covered cliffs. Above the beach
is located the charming Myriotissa Monastery.
RODA Roda is a fishing harbour that has been turned during recent years into a modern resort. There is a long sand and pebble beach which offers water sports facilities and sun beds rentals.
The old part of the harbour is where all the afternoon and night activities are concentrated, with many restaurants and lively bars.
It is a beautiful long pebbled beach in the settlement of the same name that is awarded with the blue flag, the European guaranty for cleanliness. The beach offers umbrellas and sun beds rentals.
Glyfada is one of the most popular beaches of the island and is situated 16 km west of Corfu’s capital. It is a large sandy beach in beautiful scenery made of impressive rock formations in the sea and trees-covered cliffs. Kavos is a long sandy beach located in the village of the same name. Kavos is located 47 km south of the island’s capital. It is a busy and crazy resort with many bars, clubs and other activities. The beach is 2 km long and offers all kind of facilities.
Palaiokastritsa is a picturesque village situated 26 km northwest of the island’s capital.
The area has six sandy and pebble beaches surrounded by olive trees forests. The beaches are famous for the incredible colour of the waters and the dramatic scenery that surrounds them.
The whole area is surrounded by impressive hills and cliffs. The village is one of the most famous in Corfu and has many taverns overlooking the bay.
SIDARI Sidari is a busy little town which attracts many visitors for its long sandy beach, the Cannal de l’Amour. The beach provides many facilities such as sun beds and water sports.
